Why A Positive Attitude Matters

“At the beginning of any task, more than anything else, your attitude will affect its successful outcome.”

Many things are going on right now in the economy that may be leaving us shaken and uncertain about what the future may bring. Many of these elements are not in our control and will continue to fluctuate and shift, these things will never be in our control and are not things that we should spend a lot of time trying to change.

So, what is the one thing that you will always have control over no matter the market conditions, economy, politics etc? What is the one asset that you hold that will never depreciate if you put the right effort and time into it? YOU

Attitude is a choice. Choose well!

No matter what the market conditions may be or what circumstances surround us, the one thing that we always have power over and control of is ourselves. Only you can determine what you bring to your GAME and to your everyday. Regardless of what the outside world holds you are the master of your internal world and the space that is occupied between your two ears.

Every day deserves a grand entrance so how you approach the day is going to be a large indicator of your success: in that day, week, month year. What are some of the thoughts or things that you say to yourselves at the start of every day?

Do you begin your day by saying things such as “today will be a great day” or do you start by thinking about how hard your day will be because of everything you have to do? Your thoughts shape your actions which shape your results.

“You become what you think about all day long” -Earl Nightingale

Attitude is about choice: do we choose to come at things from a positive or negative stance? What is the benefit of being positive? How do you feel when you are around people who you believe are positive forces?

Positive attitude according to Gitomer is defined as “how you choose to dedicate yourself to the way you think, how you dedicate yourself to being positive, and how you choose to dedicate yourself to reacting in a positive way.”
Attitude is a choice and regardless of the situation you always have the choice to control your thoughts, words, actions.

People are attracted to others based on attitude. This falls into the whole theory of the law of attraction. If you are always focusing on the negative you will inadvertently attract more negative. It is also what we call a “self-fulfilling prophecy”: which means that if I tell myself that I am not successful long enough then by the power of my thoughts, my actions will lead me to indeed not succeed.

Being positive is like any other skill that you might need to learn and hone, you need to understand where you stand today in terms of attitude and assess whether you tend to send to yourself and to those around you positive or negative messages.

It is like any other muscle it needs to be trained and developed for it to become a strong muscle. Therefore, I will challenge you to take notice of what thoughts and feelings you wake up with (make a note) and what are the messages that you give yourself as you take on the day. Are words like can’t, won’t, never etc a big part of your repertoire? If so, see if you can’t try and replace some of those words with will, can and always.

YOU have the freedom of choice and can choose how to think, feel and act. Attitude is a choice…..so choose wisely!

I totally agree with the premise of positive thinking being at the front and centre of our health and success.
As a Holistic Health Coach, I coach my clients to train their muscle for positive thinking, not by advising them, but by making them think and laying down the tapestry of their lives piece by piece. I see so many “difficult” cases coming back beaming within 5 weeks and how things have started looking up, like Magic. and when they know that they have been creating magic for themselves by changing the way they think, they are so enthused by the idea that they want to experiment further. It becomes a game for them and in the process they are able to create abundance for themselves and their families. I too have been down in the dumps and realized the power of positive thinking and also found holistic ways to support for it to start. That includes eating well, and I coach my clients on Detox of the mind, body and spirit. It ReallY Works. Thank you for such an information-packed article.

This is so required these days. In fact, people should be taught a positive attitude at the Doctor’s office. they need a Health Coach at every primary care provider point, so people can reset their minds to recharge their bodies. In fact, a positive attitude can reduce the harmful hormones that circulate in our bodies and it can also reduce the disease that we may be suffering from at a metabolic and cellular level.
Its important that this kind of research must reach people so they actively change their attitude to get well.
